There are three reasons why I love these. First, they are plaid. It is nearly impossible to find plaid running gear. Second, they don't chafe. Even on my long runs where I'm out on the trail for hours at a time, I don't have to apply any type of lube. And finally, they don't move. They stay exactly where I want them so I don't have to waste any of my focus on continuously trying to fix my shorts.
