First, I do not wear headbands when I workout, so I cannot speak to how it manages that. But I am a nurse, and wear headbands to A) control my hair while I'm putting PPE on and off and B) to keep the straps of the masks off my ears. These headbands are so comfortable, even for 12+ hrs. It doesn't move, it keeps my hair undercontrol, and it's not so tight as to give me a headache. Absolutely perfect
